So relieved for them! I’ve been praying for their health and safety, and I hope the rest of their long journey home is uneventful! I don’t even know them, but their pictures are sweet, and your love for them is inspiring.

Today’s post really made me cry! What wonderful times we had and what terrible pictures I take!

Linda and Bernie, thank you for keeping us up to date on Pierre and Laurie. This is certainly a personal view of the impact of this hideous situation. I loved seeing the photos again and I believe I remember the story of the first time you went to see them, Linda! Take care of yourselves — you are so precious to me — and to all of us.
    With love,
    Jeanie

Such good news! They will already feel like they are home just being back in France! I hope their health improves and they make it home with a minimum of trouble. Your photos are wonderful. I can hear Bernie’s and your big sigh of relief all the way up here on Monte Sano!

Didn’t you say they had flu-like symptoms? Did they test negative? SOOOOO glad to hear this news!

Yes, they’ve had flu-like symptoms for over a week. Perhaps they had no fever and they were able to leave.

Great news, great pictures. If I had to define ‘cock my/an eye’ — I’d just show the 4th picture down. I doubt that you remember what that conversation was about — seemed very important.

❤️ Bernie in his red jacket sitting next to Pierre on the water is my favorite. They favor one another in that one. So happy they got off the ship. The news yesterday sounded as though they may be on the ship for several more days. Thank you for the update. Prayers the rest of the trip is easy.

Oh what a joy to read these words, Linda. Will keep P&L in our prayers for their long journey home. I’m sure they’ll want to kiss the ground when they reach France, and wish them Godspeed for getting back to Soultz. The photos are so poignant and heartwarming. Wishing you and Bernie continued safety and good health. xx love across the Pond from me and Clive

Of all the people I have met through you, Linda and Bernie, Pierre and Laurie impressed me so with their straightforward and honest approach to life and the world. So when Pierre expects the journey forward to be “harsh”, it made me very worried for them. I hope for miracles of kindness and speed for them and my strongest thoughts go toward them for when their courage needs bolstering.
All the best to all of you.
