“The City of Lights,” really dresses up for Christmas. An interesting note. At a memorial service for a good friend at Trinity UMC in Birmingham yesterday, we met up with a young lady who was in my youth group there many years ago. She has lived in Paris for ten years, worked as an editor and just moved to the south of France to be with her fiancé.

    Dishes today looked really good.

How splendid! At this season, we are so grateful that you and Bernie so generously share your life with us. Paris is even more glorious as seen through your eyes and voices. Happy Thanksgiving!

Today it’s hard for me to pick between your food photos and the Christmas lights. Both are enticing. Looking forward to seeing your top 50 photos.

    Linda and Bernie,
These lights are both wonderful and amazing! I will vote for these to win the Light Contest right now!!!
And, thinking back over the years, I am so pleased that you took my suggestion to contact my friend, Richard. I had no idea he was actually your neighbor, but I knew he would love to meet you and Bernie! It was meant to be!
This has been such a remarkable visit to Paris with many challenges but even more joys. I think I see another book waiting in the wings! Bernie’s assignment is to keep on having those birthdays! This visit obviously deserves a sequel!
    Hugs,
    DT

Stunning! Looking especially forward to seeing your favorite 50. We have enjoyed every single blog and think your theme of light was brilliant (no pun intended, ha!). You have motivated us to consider a return visit after swearing off another flight across the Atlantic.

Thank you, Liz! Paris is wonderful at Christmas, but I must say that I prefer late spring and summer where the wardrobe is carefree. The risk is the horrible heat sans A/C!
