Bless your sweet hearts. Hope you get settled in soon and temps moderate. Hate to say this, but it’s wonderful here. High in70’s, lows in LOW 60’s. Heavenly. But only for a week.

Hate to have been in that snowman suit!

My goodness you have had a few challenges already, haven’t you? But I love your positive, can-do spirit. Looking forward to hearing how you and Bernie navigate your temporary bumps in the road. The pictures Bernie took of the parade were wonderful!

Tell Bernie his photos were wonderful! I hadn’t heard of the summer carnival parade, but it does look intriguing. I guess you’ll just have to plan to always be out at a restaurant or bistro having an aperitif between 5 and 7. You will figure it out!

    À bientôt!

It’s actually and more correctly called the Carnaval Tropicale per Bernie. He always edits my blogs for me after the fact…ha!

Nice shots, Bernie. I can’t believe the apartment is so very, very small. It looks really nice, though and I like the view. While you are in the hundreds over there, we have a nice week in the low 80’s with very little humidity.

Linda and Bernie, you guys are a trip! Love the gorgeous photos and details you have provided about your adventure. So happy for you both. One exciting thing here is that we have finally seen two humming birds. Yes I know! Problem is we had taken our feeder down (it had been drained one night as yours was) and I had not yet put it back out. I rushed to refill/rehang the feeder; however, they have not yet returned. Oh well, tomorrow is another day. All the best, Toni

So glad you are along for the ride! And hope you have some more hummingbirds soon! I left my feeder empty until we return.

Layne, so glad you are along for the ride. Share with friends. Love to have them enter their emails individually and subscribe so I can show a higher number of readers. I’m trying to get my Paris book published and “social platform” is a really big deal. How many times have you been to Paris? It’s a wonderful city.

In the past 30 years, at least 30 times! We had a Parisian apprentice here at Sterling , who was a relative of Ted Paludan, live with us while working at the office. She came to improve her English, and left with a Southern Accent! We still communicate, and she still lives in Paris, as do her parents, and her Grandparents. The house has been passed down from family to family.
And of course, Jerry Whitworth lives there! Claude and I had dinner with him in September of last year. I will ask my leisure department to sign up for this blog….I am loving it… Layne
