All of your culinary photos are fabulous but I am especially fond of the dessert pictures. They bring back wonderful memories. I pray the French government and the US can come to a solution for Bernie’s cousins and all those on board the ship.

Merci, merci, Linda, for posting these photos of French food artistry. What a delightful way to start a morning! I’ll certainly add my prayers that Bernie’s cousins arrive safely, recover fully, and can be flown home quickly.

The look on Avery’s face is priceless. And now we’re hungry! A fun distraction for the day. Keeping Pierre and Laurie close in our hearts. There will be a solution; we just don’t know it yet.

OMG, now I’m hungry! Bring on the chocolat, the wine, the foie gras, the cheese … to heck with the calories.

On the serious side, our thoughts are with you and Bernie and hoping the cousins make it back home and are able to take care of their health.

Gracious, I am STARVING now!! I adored eating over there even though I’m so picky…I think the presentation is almost as important as the taste! I don’t recall y’all eating out of a flower pot over a square of grass! MsManon’s pastry covered in raspberries are right up my alley! So much good food!! Hope for better days ahead for us all; most especially Pierre & Laurie.

I hope that they have contacted the French Consulate in D.C. to see if they can help! Likely, nothing, but it never hurts to ask! https://washington.consulfrance.org/spip.php?rubrique1

I do remember that you like Macarons and that I learned quickly they are not the Coconut Macaroons that I have always known. Do you remember if Izzy and Avery were able to finish their huge desserts? Do you remember you mother telling you that your eyes were bigger than your stomach?

Such good food memories! Every meal is an experience! Thank you for sharing. We keep hoping that Pierre and Laurie can get their situation resolved ASAP. Has the ship not considered going to Cuba? They have been willing to accept other cruise ships! And it might be easier to get from there back to France than from here. Will continue to hold them up to the light!

Peggy, the latest I saw a little while ago doesn’t look good. I haven’t heard anything about Cuba. Maybe the Bahamas. I just can’t stand to think they will be on that boat for 2 more weeks in quarantine, but that’s likely the case wherever they land.

I’m now off to work and instead of breakfast I’m going to think about all those beautiful dishes I’ve just scrolled through. I have nothing in my fridge to compete 😂
Thoughts and prayers for Bernie’s family on the ship 💕
