A Day of Waiting and Welcome!
Bonjour,
Yesterday was all about waiting for the arrival of my daughter and her family. It’s the first time my son-in-law, Steve, and youngest grandson, James, have been to visit! And you already know that they miraculously ended up in our building, one floor and elevator ride away.
They came in from London on the Eurostar at Gare de Nord. Traffic was nuts so they were delayed but finally found me standing on the corner waiting. Bernie was across the river at probably our favorite spot, Le Flore en l’Ile, holding our reservation. The rest of the blog is told in the pictures and Steve says that he already loves Paris! They are at Disney today and it’s absolutely gorgeous outside, sunny and in the low 70’s. Perfect!
Some theme pictures of hats and beautiful balconies
We will be on our own today so pics may be slim. We slept until after 9 this morning after a very late night.
Thanks for your comments, by the way. I rarely respond so please don’t be offended.

Hurrah for the family’s arrival! Looks as if much fun is already being had, and we’ll enjoy seeing what special things are chosen to introduce Steve and James to Paris. It’s rainy and cold here!

I’ve never paid attention to it, but looks like the balconies are mostly guardrails that allow someone to open the big windows and maybe there to keep children from falling out. Different from New Orleans balconies that people stand out on. Natalie’s family seems to be having a good time.

It’s hard to upstage goreous Paris in photos, but grandparents Linda and Bernie certainly upstaged the City of Love with their welcoming bear hugs for their grandchildren!
