Family Time in Paris
Bonjour,
Yesterday was a cold, wet day in Paris filled with a multitude of this and that, mèli, mèlo as they say in France. We started quite early by doing laundry in the apartment. We can wash but must go down the street to dry. Our laverie is just across from the famous and delightful Les Temps des Cerises. If you watch “Emily in Paris” you know it.
We grabbed James and Andrew and were off to La Gare de Lyon to meet Bernie’s cousins coming in from Alsace. We were there in plenty of time waiting for the posting of the correct track in Hall 2. The info came up and we scurried right over to the arrival track when all of a sudden the info changed to a totally different hall. We ran like greyhounds amid throngs of people over to the other area where we found them waiting and watching. Laurie said, “What happened? You’ve always been here waiting on us.” We explained the problem and all was well.
After a hearty lunch, we went to a fabulous exhibit at the Palais Galliera on Stephen Jones, Chapeaux D’Artiste (hat artist). This fashion museum is often closed and we’ve never been able to get inside. Here’s some exterior photos.
Here’s a little background info and some of the delightful hats. Hope you enjoy.
Running late this morning so must sign off. Have a great day.

Oh, the hats! So many to love and admire, but I think the Saturn one is a favorite. Glad you got in to see those. Enjoy the family reunion!

How fun and very interesting this hat museum looks to be. And it’s nice you got into some place you haven’t been to before. I love the pictures! Stay dry and enjoy your visit with Bernie’s son and cousin.

Must admit, I favor Diana’s. Others are “interesting “ to say the least.
