Comme Si, Comme Ca: This and That in Paris
Bonjour mes amis,
To quote Peggy Bilbro, today was an “easy, peasy” day with a little of this and a little of that. No stress, no hurries, no real schedule.
We started our morning over a cup of coffee with our usual apartment landlady, Marion. We have not been able to get connected to rent her space either this year or next but are set now for 2017! This tells you what a great apartment it is with two bedrooms and two baths and in a wonderful location. We will be in the little spot above it for the first month next year and then back here in our current apartment for the second month. Marion was our first friend in Paris and she is special.
I achieved three other goals today, recharging my Navigo card for the subway, getting a haircut and getting my white blazer from the dry cleaners without any issues. They did a super job. Sometimes, it can be interesting.
We spent part of the afternoon in Le Jardin de la l’Hotel-des-Sens. It’s just two blocks away surrounded by what is now a lovely library. Bernie got some good shots, especially the sparrow with a butterfly in its mouth! We read, worked puzzles and just chilled. Maybe there was a nap in there also!
It’s perfect weather in anticipation of Bernie’s son who arrives tomorrow for ten days. Oh yes, here are some beautiful photos from last night’s dinner which speak to the light that envelops Paris when the sun is setting.
Have a great weekend,
L&B

glad you had an easy peasy day! Ours was fun, but not easy peasy. As always, La Defense fascinated us and exhausted me. Bernie’s pics of le Jardin de l’Hôtel-de-Sens and of last night’s lights are exquisite, as always. I’m looking forward to seeing Jamie again after so many years!

You are most welcome. Bernie says my caption which reads L’Ecole Militaire is incorrect. It should be the Army Museum in Les Invalides. Oops!
