Hot Sluggish Day not Great for Interesting Posts
Bonjour
I must apologize that there is not much to post about from yesterday. We were almost too hot to move, much less to get any sleep. It is predicted to be 100 degrees today in Paris, the hottest ever for us after 22 years. Folks who say the climate isn’t warming should come over and spend a day in our apartment!
We did very little other than a dinner at Tres ‘Or in the Jewish district. Everyone looked like they had been run through a washing machine. I captured a cute hat, a dog (read the sign) and a purely American sight, a hotdog stand.
Here are a few architectural photos from our area that I did not post before.
Wish us well today as we try to survive the heat. Tomorrow night we are excited about our tickets for Titanic with Celine Dion. It’s supposed to be a humorous spoof on the original. It’s all in English and is being performed at the Lido where I’ve never been. It’s the more upscale counter to Le Moulin Rouge on les Champs Elysées. That will be a good post, hopefully, if they allow photos.
Stay cool,
L & B

Signs, signs, everywhere Signs. It just occurred to me that I’m sure each of those signs are important, but when there are so many — I just don’t see any of them. Don’t mean to put this on personal note, but I’m trying to declutter our house and as I make progress, it amazes me how little I miss the things that are gone and how much I can see and enjoy the few things remaining. L. you never know what we’re going to profit from you daily post. I hope you enjoy your night out. I looked up the Lido and you schooled me on the it and the Moulin Rouge. Don’t let Bernie’s eyes pop out.
Thanks, hope you get some good pics tonight.

It’s tomorrow night, Tuesday, 1 July. The French always put day, month, year. It can really mess you up sometimes, ha!

Linda,
Enjoyed your photos of surrounding buildings. Puppy photo, with sign was amusing . As Neil Diamond says “ Some days are diamonds, some days are stones.” Weather in the 100s without air conditioning is definitely stones! Hang in there.

We feel your pain on the heat, but we do have air conditioning! Always love the dogs and hats!

Oh Linda, that sounds miserable. I saw on the BBC this morning that officials have closed the top of the Eiffel Tower due to the heat.
Bill and I are leaving for the mainland on July 14 – Amsterdam, Viking Rhine River cruise and a couple of days in Lucern. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the heat wave will not have returned while we are there!
I love the dog sign! Everyone should follow that rule!
I know saying ‘stay cool’ does no good, but I hope it passes quickly and does not keep you stuck at home. Make that ice!! 💙🤍♥️

Kitty, so good to hear from you! Have a wonderful cruise and hopefully, the weather will be better. We are suffocating.

I simply can’t imagine. I hope you have some kind of cooling device in your flat.
