Read this in the press. It appears that tourists are overwhelming Europe. I can identify with what the man said about phones and elbows. On a river cruise of the Danube a few years ago, I stopped taking pictures because all I could photo was tourists.

This is so sad but understandable. There seems to surely be a solution, but I wouldn’t have a clue what to do! As the child of a professional painter, I understand the appreciation of things of beauty and the desire to stand there and take it. It would be terribly frustrating to be pushed and shoved while trying to take in The Venus or Mona Lisa only to be hurried by staff and other onlookers. A bigger, stand-alone room or building sound like a great solution that should have been in the works for years if not decades. I can only imagine the heartbreak of tourists who come with the Louvre with that being the top of their to-see list. But the Louvre also has a duty to protect the articles they have been trusted with.

That is just so sad. It’s like Seaside – a victim of its own success. A very difficult problem to have.
All good here. I’ve gotten myself too busy so I’m a little put out with myself but life is good. Very wet in Huntsville. I don’t envy you the heat. I am so glad y’all got to go to the Chamber party!
Keep those wonderful blogs coming. I know it’s a lot of work but we all appreciate it!
