Im not sure I am responding correctly since I dont see my comment to yesterdays Lido post!
I think you are wise not to swim in the Paris Plage,, That would be similar to my swimming in the east river in NYC.. I know ‘they” announced the Seine was cleaned up and safe to swim in during the Olympics,, but cant convince me of that! Your dessert looks delish, but for me a melange at Berthillon still would win in my case. Cold ice cream on a hot day, Im buying pints of it here.!! Stay cool, and get more fans, they really do work! I think I told you. that there was an article in the Newspaper here that more Europeans are now buying ACs, a first! At least there are fewer days when you. really need it there!
    hope you can stay cool!

Your comment is there and I responded. I don’t know why you can’t see it. We are not ice cream eaters, unfortunately. Never have been. I mentioned to you that we have four fans! It is 68 degrees right now!

Linda, Sorry for the heat you are facing despite being far away from Alabama! Do your best to stay cool, hydrated and safe. Due to frequent rains here, so far our summer is bearable.
Thanks for sharing. All the best!

While I loved the photos of the area around the Seine, the dessert looked delicious! I hope temps will come down some. We got a break as the sun went down here, last night. It allowed us to watch our granddaughter’s last swim meet of the season involving their neighborhood pool with a pleasant breeze and somewhat cooler temps. Treat yourselves and take a cab until temperatures come down.

Taxis take twice or three times as long because of traffic and are rarely air-conditioned. It’s nice here this morning. Was 68 at 8:30!

Can you look at the bottom of the Coke bottles to see where they were made. Sounds like progress if the Seine is swimmable. Your pictures and narration are always a good way to start our day.
